Job Function: As a Buyer, you will be tasked with maintaining a purchasing database. You will be responsible for purchasing non-key component buys and assist on purchasing activities of key components. This is a full time contracted position, with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on business needs, headcount availability and individual performance. Shift: Day Job Type: Full-Time / Contracted (Potential for Permanent Conversion) Responsibilities: Obtain and evaluate quotations for non-key components (C-parts) Manage purchase order (PO) placement and adjust material schedules based on MRP changes (expedite/de-expedite as needed) Monitor material shortages and proactively identify and qualify secondary sources Validate supplier lead times and ensure alignment with production requirements Process RTV (Return to Vendor) materials and coordinate with suppliers Resolve invoicing discrepancies and material-related issues in a timely manner Negotiate pricing for assigned commodities to ensure cost competitiveness Manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and support cost control initiatives Oversee Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and ensure material readiness Manage excess and obsolete inventory to minimize financial impact Drive material cost reduction initiatives across assigned commodities Skills: Demonstrates strong foundational academic and functional skills required to perform assigned tasks Proficient in computer applications and general systems navigation Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel Effective collaboration and teamwork skills Qualifications: Education: B.A. or the equivalent Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of material experience Language Skills: English proficiency required, Mandarin is a plus Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
