Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in English language

Basic computer literacy

Customer service experience, preferably in a retail or service environment

Ability to stand for extended periods

Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings

Familiarity with handling cash and processing credit card transactions

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints gracefully

Reliable transportation to and from the workplace

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs for dry cleaning, laundry, or alterations

Explain dry cleaning processes, services, and pricing to customers

Check-in garments and items, tagging them correctly for identification and processing

Inspect items for any damages or stains and notify customers of any issues before processing

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to handle transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment

Provide customers with receipts, tickets for their garments, and return dates for pickup

Answer customer inquiries in-person and via phone or email, providing information on services, turnaround times, and garment care

Update customers on the status of their items as needed, including any delays or issues

Manage customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction

Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, ensuring a pleasant environment for customers

Coordinate with the back-of-house staff to ensure orders are processed and completed on time

Keep track of inventory and supplies, such as hangers, garment bags, and tags, and place orders when necessary

Promote additional services and special offers to customers

Follow up with customers to encourage repeat business and obtain feedback
