Onsite Technician and Procurement Specialist

Our client is looking for a Level 1 Onsite Technician & Procurement Specialist to join their team in the Fairfield County area. This position plays a critical role in supporting the service engineers by providing hands-on technical assistance during client visits, managing procurement, and overseeing office operations.

What You'll Do:

Onsite Technical Support:

  • Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, VoIP, and peripheral issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software onsite.
  • Perform device imaging, deployment, and hardware swaps.
  • Support user onboarding/offboarding, including workstation setup and teardown.
  • Act as the onsite escalation point for Level 1 issues, coordinating with remote teams.

Procurement:

  • Assist with procurement, including obtaining quotes and placing purchase orders.
  • Conduct product pricing research and vendor evaluations.
  • Compare computer hardware specifications to ensure compatibility and value.
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Communicate with clients regarding order status, pricing, and any issues.
  • Track receipts and expenses related to procurement.

Office Management:

  • Manage inbound and outbound shipping.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of devices and accessories.
  • Ensure office stock and supplies are consistently available.
  • Keep the onsite office organized and clean.
  • Attend daily meetings to align with scheduling and client needs.

What You'll Bring:

Technical Skills:

  • Windows OS (10/11) and macOS support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
  • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Experience with remote support tools.
  • Printer and peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (HaloPSA is a plus!).

Requirements:

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • A professional appearance and punctuality for onsite client interactions.
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment boxes (up to 50 lbs.).
  • A valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • You must be reliable, punctual, and self-directed.
