Retail - eCommerce Operations Associate

Goodwill Columbus is currently seeking a qualified Retail Associate of our new e-commerce operation. This employee will be responsible for handling, sorting, processing, filing, and storing merchandise so that it can be effectively and efficiently sold online.

This involves the opportunity to:

• Work Full-Time 40hrs a week
• Work Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM
• Load and unload incoming merchandise such as books and auction items.
• Use a computer to scan items to check for feasibility for online sales.
• Post or assist with posting items for sale online.
• File posted items in holding area.
• Pull, package, and ship merchandise that has been sold online.
• Transport books and auction items to and from warehouse and storage area.
• Set up pallets, boxes, and totes for shipment of books and other items to stores.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Adhere to safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions or actions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old
• High school or equivalent education.
• One year or less of related experience required; retail experience helpful.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and employees.
• Ability to operate cash register and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to physically sort, carry, hang, and/or distribute merchandise to the sales floor.
• Compassion to help and train others with disabilities and other barriers.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, push, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds; heavier lifting occasionally needed.
• Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on cash register and related store equipment.
• Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
