Supports Outside Sales with order entry including purchase orders and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-Processes quotes and orders and relay pricing and delivery information to customers in a professional manner-Works with purchasing, vendors, and production to coordinate delivery schedules on large orders.-Works with the Sales Team, management, and software administration to streamline order entry for better efficiency in production, delivery, and customer receiving.-Works with Sales Team members to evaluate customer requests, drawing take offs, product requirements, etc. to support the quote generation/order entry process.-Assists Customers with any related products, questions, pricing, and availability to ensure sales and customer satisfaction-Works with the Sales Team to follow up on leads and quotes to prospective customers.-Support inspection efforts pertaining to data entry and quoting replacement equipment.-Computes charges for merchandise or services based on training or instruction from sales or management. -Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.-Works with sales to generate evidence of perceived forecast market demand.-Reviewing income POs from GE/FieldCore : Confirming all POs in Ariba, match POs to quotes and convert to order.-Write order, Quotes, POs and transfers and follow up on them-Handle GE orders to include checking all orders to make sure they match the pull sheet and make any corrections necessary, invoice the orders, create the invoice package spreadsheet, scan and email all pull sheets and invoices to GE-Purchases the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.-Analyzes price proposals and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.-Researches and evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel), ability to learn and become proficient with order entry and data entry software, etc.-Must have basis math skills and be able to convey information to customers effectively. -Must be able to actively listen to customers needs in order to help them purchase the correct product. -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and electronic.-Able to work to tight deadlines. Able to prioritize duties and work under pressure.-Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.-Methodical, accurate, and consistent attention to detail.-Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.-Punctual and reliable.-Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.-Previous customer service experience and a working knowledge of sales and inventory systems -A working knowledge of rigging, industrial and/or construction supplies.Level of Education and Experience:-High School Diploma or equivalency is required-Bachelors Degree preferred with emphasis in Business Administration or related area with three to five years of progressively responsible purchasing experience and/or materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.Physical Demands:The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
