Red Barn Meats, Inc. operates with the core values of Learn by doing, Lead by example, Excel as a team while serving its mission to form lifelong relationships and provide quality local meat.The Customer Service Representative has a critical role being the first point of contact for customers and managing custom processing orders and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple priorities with accuracy, and enjoys building long-term relationships with customers. This position is responsible for the entire lifecycle of service products; from initial customer intake to order fulfillment, keeping internal teams informed and customers happy.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Greet and assist all customers, whether by phone, email, or in person, with professionalism and warmth.Accurately receive, record, and manage custom processing orders and USDA drop-offs.Communicate clearly with customers about processing options, timelines, cut sheets, and pickups.Coordinate between the front house and production teams to ensure order details are properly executed and communicated.Track and update cut sheets, kill lists, inventory logs, and ensure timely documentation for USDA compliance.Handle customer inquiries, complaints, changes, and follow-ups with a solution-oriented mindset.Maintain a clean, welcoming storefront and ensure signage, product info, and displays are up to date.Assist with invoicing, order forms, and preparing documentation for customer pickups.Support the sale of in-store products.Help plan and execute seasonal promotions, preorder campaigns, or retail offerings.Maintain confidentiality of customer and facility records in accordance with USDA standards.Desired Skills:2+ years of experience in customer service, retail, office admin, or a similar customer-facing roleStrong communication skills: verbal, written, and digitalHighly organized with excellent attention to detailProficient with computers, spreadsheets, and order entry systemsAble to confidently learn and communicate about meat products and processing options (training provided)Calm under pressure, with strong emotional intelligence and patienceTeam player with a positive, helpful attitudeComfortable handling multiple tasks and priorities at oncePhysical requirements:Able to sit, stand, and move throughout the workdayComfortable handling paperwork, packaging, and heavy lifting (60 lbs.)Ability to work in variable temperature environments (cooler/retail areas)Manual dexterity for computer entry, labeling, and documentation
