We are in search of a driven, strategic sales professional to serve as Membership & Inside Sales Manager. Membership and Inside Sales Manager is a managerial role responsible for overseeing a dual-function team that includes Library and Membership Services, and Inside Sales Representatives. This role is designed to drive revenue growth through both membership acquisition/retention and applied R D sales opportunity creation. The manager will develop and execute growth strategies, implement process improvements, and coordinate with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure superior client engagement and exceptional service delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Membership Management
Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to achieve membership revenue goals through effective recruitment, retention, and renewal initiatives. Grow average annual dues per member using techniques to upsell members and rmend market-based price adjustments for senior leadership review.
Outreach Strategy: Formulate and execute outreach strategies and sales/marketing tactics in close partnership with the sales and marketing teams.
Member Satisfaction: Oversee the delivery of membership benefits and ensure operational processes such as onboarding, benefit delivery, and client value demonstration (e.g., MAR reporting) are continually optimized. Grow average benefit usage per member using creative member outreach techniques.
Process Improvement: Regularly review and enhance membership processes to increase operational efficiency and member satisfaction.
ing: Generate detailed reports and analytics to track market feedback, membership performance, trends, and client value.
Inside Sales Management
Opportunity Creation: Lead the inside sales team to consistently meet and exceed qualified meetings set and sales opportunity creation targets in support of ourmercial applied R D business.
Growth Strategy: Develop and implement growth strategies for both inbound and outbound sales, leveraging data-driven insights.
Customer Engagement Tactics: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create and execute effective sales and marketing tactics that enhance customer engagement and lead generation.
ing: Generate detailed reports and analytics to track market feedback, customer engagement, lead generation, and sales opportunity creation.
People Leadership
Team Management: Directly oversee and mentor a teamprising a Library Manager, Membership Coordinator, and Inside Sales Representatives.
Coaching and Development: Provide regular performance feedback, training, and career development opportunities to ensure team members reach their full potential.
Culture and Engagement: Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that aligns with theanization's values and enhances employee engagement.
Minimum Requirements
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Proficiency in leading an inside sale team including:
Motivational leadership experience in building morale and maintaining energy levels for teams performing high-rejection tasks
Creating structured call frameworks and scripting tailored to various market segments
Objection handling and real-time decision-making during calls
Coaching staff based on recorded calls and live monitoring
Proficient in guiding the team on how to prioritize leads based on quality, industry, and buying signals
Ability to analyze call volume, connection rates, talk time, and conversion ratios to drive accountability and performance improvement
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Exceptionalmunication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in CRM systems, lead generation/prospecting tools, and sales analytics tools.
Skilled in designing and maintaining CRM workflows that support effective outbound sales motions
Energized and motivated by a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, service-minded, mission-basedanization
Proven adaptability and flexibility as a part of team
Exhibits sound judgment in decision making and execution
Ability to maintain excellent customer relationships both internal and external
Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field
EXPERIENCE:
Seven (7) years' experience in inside sales, business development, and/or membership management
Three (3) years' experience in a supervisory role leading sales, marketing, and/or membership team
Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue growth through strategic planning and process improvement
