Position: Assistant Treasurer (Temporary)

Department: Guest Experience

Role Overview: Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a Treasurer for our concert halls. Reporting to the Head Treasurer, the Treasurer is a paramount member of Lincoln Center’s dedicated team responsible for assisting in the execution of all Box Office operations. In addition to facilitating sales and financial settlements, this role serves as a welcoming point of contact for Lincoln Center and provides exceptional customer service.

Dates: July 20 - November 2

What You’ll Get to Do Here:

Ticketing

  • Utilize Tessitura ticketing system to issue tickets to the public and internal departments, generate reports, maintain ticket inventory and all holds, and complete final box office settlement report as assigned.
  • Distribute will call tickets, re-issue tickets as needed, and complete ticket sales during pre-event time.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures while completing sales and reconciling daily transactions, including credit cards and bank deposits.
  • Adhere, communicate and reinforce Lincoln Center (LC) policies and procedures, as well as policies and procedures specific to the presenting constituent.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Guest Service

  • Interact with guests as a main point of contact for Lincoln Center.
  • Assist guests with ticket purchase decisions, answer general ticketing and Lincoln Center campus questions, and address concerns, requests, and complaints.
  • Exemplify guest excellence characteristics in all interactions with patrons, guests, and fellow co-workers.
  • Provide accurate information about an event or venue upon request, including directions, program or constituent organizations.

You’ll be a fit if you bring:

  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Experience with ticketing software.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment and adaptability to a changing environment.
  • Flexible availability is a must, including being able to work during matinee, evening, and weekend performances.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring:

  • Experience with Tessitura (ticketing system)
  • Multilingual
