Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager serves a critical role in our growing business; effectively executing on a multi-faceted plan designed for Design Ready Controls supply chain. The role will lead the organizations procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure reliable supply, cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and operational continuity. They oversee purchasing processes, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement strategy while partnering closely with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and leadership teams. Effective performance in this role is defined by strong engagement across 5 key areas: supplier engagement, purchasing demand, ordering, inventory, and shortages.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Engagement
Maintain relationships between Design Ready Controls and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing, quality, and customer service.
Be an effective point of escalation when supplier conditions require it.
Purchasing Demand
Understand demand signal, facilitate communication amongst team of Buyers assigned to electrical suppliers, and partner with the Supply Chain Manager to improve demand processes as required.
Oversee purchasing schedules with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and uninterrupted operational flow.
Recommend process improvements to strengthen forecasting accuracy, purchasing responsiveness, and supply continuity as the organization grows.
Ordering
Actively lead procurement team to place, confirm, and manage open orders per system driven demand.
Maintain appropriate inventory replenishment levels to support production and customer fulfillment requirements while minimizing excess inventory.
Ensure purchase orders are accurate with respect to pricing, quantities, lead times, delivery dates, and specifications.
Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, shipments, invoices, damaged goods, or receiving issues in partnership with suppliers, accounting, warehouse, and operations teams.
Execute and track warehouse transfers to balance supply chain across Design Ready Controls facilities.
Communicate order updates, delays, and supply concerns to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
Inventory
Understand inventory and impact of daily activities. Partner with Supply Chain Manager to improve inventory management processes as required.
Assist with cycle count reviews, inventory reconciliation, and material availability reporting as assigned.
Actively participate in production inventory design by part type: kitted, production re-stock, etc.
Shortages
Identify potential material shortages, supply risks, and capacity concerns.
Use existing tools to alert production supervisors and Supply Chain Manager of known shortages that will impact the production or kitting processes via the automated scheduling and tracking reports.
Actively engage as effective point of escalation when shortage conditions require it.
Supervisory and Other Procurement Responsibilities
Define, distribute, and manage reasonable performance standards for team of 8 buyers across all core activities. This includes effectively developing the team to scale with the Company through strong time management and communication skills. Applying disciplinary or performance management actions as needed.
Identify role requirements, partner with Human Resources on recruiting efforts, and position the procurement team for future growth.
Regularly review performance metrics across buyers to identify and remedy gaps in execution.
Perform basic purchasing duties as needed, including but not limited to those required as the Primary Buyer assigned to a set number of electrical suppliers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education | Experience
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
3-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing, distribution or operational environment preferred.
Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
Experience with ERM/MRP systems, purchasing workflows, and inventory planning concepts required.

Strong Purchasing Skills: Consistently maintains accurate, timely and effective purchasing skills, including the ability to verify and process RFQs and purchase orders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & ERP Software: Easily utilizes Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the companys ERP system (M1)
Operational Resilience: Maintains effectiveness and composure during supply chain disruptions, changing priorities, and operational challenges while driving solutions forward.
Compensation & Benefits:- Competitive Salary : $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 DOE
