The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations and internal supply chain activities to ensure efficient production and assembly processes. This role is responsible for order picking, kitting, and light assembly of electrical components. The position also involves filling internal and external orders, and organizing inventory as needed to maintain workflow efficiency while maintaining general housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while consistently adhering to safety and quality standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prioritize and fill orders of various products and quantities using warehouse equipment, and route to the appropriate processing area in a timely manner.
  • Actively seek out opportunities for process improvement.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly production meetings.
  • Attend and contribute to open book management.
  • Ensures lessons learned are applied to future efforts.
  • Accurately pick and verify that the correct product is packaged safely and in appropriate quantities and containers. Ensure accurate labeling is in place for bags/boxes and ready for shipping/distribution.
  • Update databases timely and provide accurate inventory counts as requested.
  • Assisting in the resolution of any shipment or delivery discrepancies that may arise.
  • Perform order kitting and sub-assembly operations to customer specifications.
  • Assemble electrical panels, components, systems, and/or subsystems according to specifications and schematics.
  • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including mechanical lifting devices and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned, including backup for other business unit personnel, to ensure support of the production plan.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

  • Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and planning software such as JD Edwards.
  • Understanding of material handling equipment and its proper use.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively across departments.
  • Ability to operate various Powered Industrial Vehicles.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components and wiring; familiarity with reading schematics is a plus
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals at all levels.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of (1) year of experience in a warehouse setting; experience with electrical assembly preferred.

Base Compensation Range: $32,796.71- $49,958.07 annually

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 12% of gross annual salary base on company performance.
