Job Summary
The responsibilities of this position include providing beautician and barber services to residents of Rehab and Nursing facilities.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for cutting and styling hair consistent with residents requests. Wash, rinse, and dry residents hair using appropriate shampoos, conditioners, and other necessary hair products.
- Maintains cleanliness in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and ensures work area is clean and equipment is always sterilized.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments for residents. Communicate with residents to ensure satisfaction of services. Promotes a friendly and positive atmosphere in the delivery of services.
- Contributes positively to the Quality of Life Team and keeps direct report informed of significant issues.
- Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant experience Barber or Hair Stylist experience
- LIC-Cosmetologist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire
Preferred
- 1 year of relevant experience in a long-term care setting
