Position Summary
The Capital Markets Financial Analysis (CMFA) Hub Team Leader is a multifamily real estate expert responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and execution of financial analysis requests on behalf of Cushman & Wakefields Multifamily Advisory Group (MAG) Investment Sales Brokers. The CMFA Hub Team Leader champions driving broker adoption on the capabilities and benefits of leveraging the Financial Analysis Hub. This role oversees the workflow assignments and outputs of an assigned team of financial analysts specializing in multifamily valuations. The CMFA Team Leader works directly in partnership with the CMFA Hub management team to ensure timely, high-quality valuation analyses, leading analyst training activities, and empowering others to drive results while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Job Description

Essential Duties

  • Manage relationships with MAG Investment Sales Brokers and Market Operations Leaders, identifying opportunities for the CMFA Hub to provide financial analysis, due diligence, and marketing pitch support.
  • Lead the execution of more complex Broker financial analysis/modeling requests, which may include serving as a project manager on high-value client opportunities and portfolio transactions.
  • Facilitate and lead pipeline and workflow management meetings with the CMFA Hub team and Investment Sales broker teams, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust and appropriate resource allocation coverage.
  • Develop high-level analysis summaries by identifying transaction considerations (strengths/weaknesses), trends, outliers, and logical inconsistencies.
  • Identify and communicate any missing due diligence information or unclear scope of work requests to ensure timely and accurate analyses while coaching analysts on deal management best practices.
  • Mentor junior analysts in developing high-level analysis summaries, training analysts on how to prepare pro forma statements, discounted cash flow analyses, and Excel-based financial models with consideration of market conditions (both current and historical)
  • Perform quality control reviews, ensuring work product is thorough, complete, and meets scope of work requirements, and identifying common themes for continuous development and actioning next steps to lead further training.
  • Communicate due diligence findings in a clear, compelling manner, addressing clarifying broker team questions, and responding with timely and accurate revisions, as needed.
  • Conduct audits of existing financial models for accuracy of model inputs and validity of assumptions
  • Serve as the initial point of escalation for complex valuation modeling needs and resolves conflicts as they arise.
  • Coach junior analysts to conduct market research to analyze property and market conditions; synthesize findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Develop training resource tools and material in support of continuous analyst development, serving as a lead instructor and mentor.
  • Serves as a key contributor of the CMFA Hubs maturity by supporting process improvement and automation initiatives, actively participating in user acceptance testing groups and project teams.
  • Lead by example and model Cushman & Wakefields cultural values and behaviors.
  • Assists in recruiting and new hire onboarding activities, including leading interviews and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on the CMFA Hubs multifamily performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in partnership with the management team.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested.

Other Requirements & Administrative Duties

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
  • A combination of education without a degree and relevant commercial real estate work experience may be considered.
  • 5 to 7 years in financial analysis and modeling experience; Capital Markets experience is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in Excel and discounted cash flow modeling tools required.
  • Passion for client delivery with strong emphasis on producing high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and motivated to exceed expectations.
  • Team-player capable of building strong working relationships with peers and internal business partners.
  • Balances and prioritizes multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, navigating challenges with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in AI a plus

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Workday or other Customer Relationship Management software a plus.
