Team Leader Secondary - Jenison Jr High School - Jenison Hudsonville Food Service

Summary:
Hours: 5 hours/day from approximately 8:30am - 1:30pm, following the Jenison Public Schools calendar.
The person(s) accepting this position will be working in a secondary building and will be the team leader/supervisor over a team of six (6) employees for the lunch program. They will lead the setup and tear down of the service area for the students as well as directing the production of the lunch program with a variety of responsibilities.

Hourly Rate - $17/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals.
• Lead and direct a team for meal production daily.
• Order and receive deliveries from vendors and central kitchen.
• Maintain and apply all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all food service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies.
• Operate production equipment and dishwashing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations
• Cash handling
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Understand and determine qualified meals and qualified components of meals.
• Meet and service the needs of clientele in a timely fashion and in a pleasant and appropriate manner.
• Compile and maintain appropriate production and safety records and forms.
• Great attendance, arriving to work on time and in proper uniform.
