Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Material Handler to oversee and coordinate material handling operations within our warehouse environment. This pivotal role involves supervising daily distribution activities, managing inventory control, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and safety protocols. As a leader in materials handling, you will drive process improvements, optimize shipping and receiving functions, and support our commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Pay: $20-$23 BOE

Duties

Coordinate daily warehouse distribution activities, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling operations.
Manage inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and accountability using warehouse management systems.
Oversee the safe operation of forklifts and other mechanical equipment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in materials handling, inventory management, and logistics workflows.
Collaborate with logistics partners, 3PL providers, and internal departments to streamline supply chain operations.
Resolving discrepancies with shipments, damages, or missing items.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and warehouse safety.
Monitor shipping schedules, coordinate with carriers for timely deliveries, and manage shipping & receiving documentation.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
Support warehouse supervisor responsibilities as needed during peak periods or staff absences.
Requirements

Proven 5+ years of experience in warehouse with a focus on materials handling, inventory management, or logistics..
Proficiency with warehouse management systems
Bilingual in English & Spanish
Strong knowledge of Inbound department, inventory control techniques and warehouse distribution processes.
Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance is highly desirable.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and materials handling.
Experience working within e-commerce environments or 3PL logistics providers is advantageous.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and process documentation.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and operate mechanical equipment efficiently.
Strong communication skills to effectively work with teams and collaborate across departments.
