How will you make an impact?
This isnt your ordinary job. As Team Lead you will be an integral part in supervising a team to ensure we deliver various types of products from life-saving personal protective equipment to everyday lab essentials.
What will you do?
Provide supervision to assigned staff; including personnel recruitment, regular performance evaluation and monitoring for development
Take ownership of safety initiatives including incident investigations and reporting within the required timeframe
Participate in safety walkthroughs and continuous improvement activities
Oversee the shipment of material and/or finished goods in a timely manner according to customer requirements
Provide role-model leadership in motivating change to achieve continuous improvement through Lean standard processes in Warehousing, Material Flow and Logistics.
Support inventory management processes (cycle-counting, MDR processing, warehouse slotting optimization, pick-path optimization, etc.)
Balance labor resources across distribution operations as necessary to assure the overall success of the Department
Serve as a point of escalation for Customer, Supplier and/or Manufacturing supply issues
Engage with various carriers on both the inbound and outbound side of the operation
Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ensuring consistent and reliable processes and procedures follow all regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Maintain work areas within the spirit and guidelines of 5S in accordance with Lean manufacturing and company guidelines.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
1-2 years of related experience as a Team Lead within a distribution/operations environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proven ability to motivate teams and establish goals, metrics, data and plans to achieve organizational objectives.
Knowledge of lean material concepts and application in warehousing and logistics.
Knowledge E1 / WMS / SAP ERP systems
MS-Office Capabilities (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Working conditions:
Work in a warehouse environment and may operate under various temperatures including room temperature (59-86 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and/or Freezer-room (minus 4-23 degrees F).
May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $26.97$40.46.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
