Responsibilities
- Carefully package service parts using made-in-house repack protocols, ensuring components are ready for shipment.
- Operate gantry cranes and lift-assist equipment to securely crate propulsion parts for delivery.
- Uphold packing standards by rigorously following safety guides, preventing damage in transit with precise pallet stacking and use of protective materials.
- Comply with EHS guidelines by consistently applying proper lifting techniques and utilizing PPE.
- Refer to standard work sheets and training checklists to ensure all repacking procedures meet quality and safety standards.
- Apply 5S organizational practices and proactively identify waste in the work area.
- Rotate between workstations as needed and support overall team operations during busy periods, including occasional weekends.
Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or recognized high school equivalency credential required.
- Experience in a warehouse or packaging environment (automotive sector preferred).
- Familiarity with PPE use and workplace safety compliance.
- Proficient in operating gantry cranes, lift-assist tools, and other material handling equipment.
- Capable of standing for extended shifts and handling materials weighing up to 50 lbs, including repetitive lifting, carrying, and manual handling of irregularly shaped items.
- Comfortable stooping and kneeling to retrieve objects and able to work in environments with dust, loud noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation and training purposes.
- Willingness to work overtime, adjust hours, and remain flexible to meet business demands.
- Ability to interpret safety instructions, SOPs, and workplace documentation accurately.
