About the position

Casual Retail Sales Associates (RSA) areengaged members of the ANBL Retail team who use their customer-first mindset toexcel in sales. They bring a strongpassion for the liquor industry and enjoy sharing their knowledge withcustomers to build rapport. They arestrong team players and problem solvers, and act with initiative and goodjudgement to ensure products are sold responsibly.

A Casual RSA role offers the flexibilityto balance work, school, and family obligations, while providing growthopportunities within ANBL. Work hoursare based on operational requirements to support the team, including days,evenings, and weekends, and there are no minimum guaranteed hours. Schedules are known three weeks in advance,with the option to add additional shifts when available.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering an excellent customer service experience
  • Create genuine connections with customers to discover their needsand make personalized recommendations
  • Processingcash and point-of-sale transactions
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on products andpromotions
  • Visual merchandising and store organization
  • Operating a forklift to loadand unload trucks in the store warehouse
  • Consistently provide safe,clean, and engaging experience by adhering to all safety standards andexpectations

What do you need to be successful?

  • At least 19 years old and not currently employed by a brewing, distilling, or alcohol-producing company (as per the Liquor Control Act )
  • At least 1year of sales or customer service experience, previous experience in thealcohol or service industry is an asset
  • Friendly and outgoing with a natural ability to connect with people
  • Clear and confident communicator
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for sales andcustomer service
  • Team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Lifting upto 40 lbs to receive and process stock
  • Ability towork flexible scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and short noticecall-in as required
