As an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) of Logistics , youll take a leading role in bringing Wayfairs retail vision to life within a high-performing, customer-centric environment. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will oversee critical store functions and assist across team verticals including operions, visual merchandising, and team development. Your focus is to ensure an exceptional customer experience, drive a high-performance team, and deliver on overall business targets.

This position balances stregic leadership (about 60%) with hands-on execution and tactical work (about 40%), requiring creivity, business acumen, and strong leadership. Youll leverage da-driven insights to implement merchandising stregies, optimize store operions, and inspire your team to exceed expections in every area, from sales to service. Wh Does an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) Do?

Youll Thrive in This Role if You Have:

• Leadership Experience: 1+ year leading teams of 10-30+ people.

• Team Motivion: 2+ years motiving high-performing teams, preferably in visual merchandising and brand presention (store leader, manager, or trainer roles).

• Retail Background: 3+ years of retail experience, ideally in home goods, furnishings, or interior design.

• Inventory & Logistics: Experience managing shipments, quality checks, inventory organizion, and returns/exceptions handling.

• Operional Skills: Comfortable coordining furniture assembly and overseeing reverse logistics.

• Pricing & Audits: Experience verifying pricing accuracy and conducting regular audits.

• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Additional Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Physical Activity: Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and crawling.

• Mobility & Movement: Frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the day.

• Lifting Ability: Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs independently regularly. Some projects may involve heavier items, which must be managed with proper assistance or equipment.

• Vision Requirements: Includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

• Temperure Flexibility: Comfortable in environments with varying temperure conditions.

• Noise Tolerance: Occasional exposure to modere noise levels and physical activity.
