We deliver world-class solutions backed by integrity, innovation, and customer success ABOUT THE POSITION The Parts Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing dealer relationships and driving performance in parts sales across an assigned territory. This role goes beyond traditional selling, emphasizing territory strategy, dealer enablement, aftermarket program adoption, and KPI-driven results. The role supports Astec's mission by executing stock order programs, improving dealer parts performance, promoting loyalty product penetration, and ensuring accurate inventory compliance. LOCATION: This manager must reside within the territory - AZ, NV, UT, CA. Key Deliverables Build and maintain meaningful relationships with assigned dealers and their parts teams Execute sales strategies aligned with Astec's goals for parts revenue growth and customer support Drive dealer success in the following key performance areas: YTD Sales vs Target Stock Order % of Total Sales Loyalty Parts Participation Inventory Upload Compliance Provide training and support to dealer staff on parts tools, systems, and product knowledge Promote OEM parts usage and safe operation practices across the territory Key Activities & Responsibilities Manage all parts-related sales and support activities within assigned territory Conduct regular territory audits and dealer visits to identify stocking gaps and promote fast-mover readiness Collaborate with PSSRs and dealer teams to ensure machine uptime and parts coverage Develop and execute quarterly sales plans to close site-level sales gaps Promote participation in parts loyalty programs, spiffs, and seasonal stock campaigns Submit VOC (Voice of Customer) and market feedback to product and inventory planning teams Coordinate with internal stakeholders across service, sales, and supply chain to support dealer needs Lead or assist in dealer training sessions on parts systems and stocking strategies Prepare monthly dealer scorecards and recommend next best actions Travel frequently throughout the assigned region (up to 75-85%) Maintain CRM documentation and dealer interaction logs Other duties as assigned Experience and Competencies High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred 3-5 years of parts, aftermarket, or territory sales experience (heavy equipment preferred) Ability to read and interpret schematics and parts books Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities Capable of analyzing dealer sales data and identifying performance trends Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales tools Team player with a customer-first mindset MSHA certification Supervisor and Leadership Expectations None Travel Requirements: 75-85% travel within assigned territory Weeklong site visits may be required periodically Our Culture and Values Employees that become part of Astec embody the values below throughout their work. WORK ENVIRONMENT Office While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office environment and occasionally a manufacturing shop plant environment. Duties include a typical office setting including extensive computer work, sitting or standing. Manufacturing Environment Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Dealer and Customer Sites Working around equipment and on material processing sites require special consideration for safety. MSHA certification may be required at some locations. Exposure to chemical, environmental, noise, and physical hazards are possible. PPE, and site specific safety requirements must be followed, especially in quarries and any areas subject to MSHA inspections. Driving, on the road or on customer sites, must comply with Astec policy.
