R. J. Corman is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and safety-focused individual to join our team as an Inventory Manager based out of Nicholasville, KY. This position plays a critical role in supporting Material Sales operations by managing inventory, coordinating material movement, and ensuring customer needs are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all inventory operations including storage, shipping, and receiving of materials
  • Support Material Sales yards with inventory needs and daily operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing, relocation, and disposal of materials
  • Work with internal and external customers on inventory forecasting and material planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and update tracking systems for customers
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships
  • Assist with ordering materials and resolving inventory issues
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory processes and material flow
  • Communicate with field personnel to coordinate proper delivery of materials
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety in all operations

What does it take to be an Inventory Manager for R. J. Corman?

  • Experience in inventory management, shipping & receiving, or material coordination
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems or MRP processes
  • Ability to multi-task, analyze data, and solve problems efficiently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Ability to occasionally travel as needed

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office/shop environment with some warehouse interaction
  • Occasional exposure to moving equipment and material handling operations
  • Some exposure to outdoor conditions may occur
  • Limited lifting (generally up to 20 lbs)
