Job Purpose
  • Providing commercial analytical support for regional inventory management, with specific
    focus on reducing FG Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inflow and increasing outflow
  • Detailed SKU, country, & segment level forecast creation, based on (OMP) statistical
    forecast generation, plus market enrichment

This position can either be located in Nashville, TN or Reading, PA

Key Responsibilities
  • Use corporate forecasting tools to provide an unconstrained demand forecast for the region, addressable by region, country, market segment, product family, customer, and SKU.
  • Work with the demand hub on selectively improving the statistical baseline forecast.
  • Support customer demand manager to liaise with other functions, such as sales, customer service, & marketing, to enrich the statistical forecast with customer/market intelligence,
    sales pipeline development, new product introduction.
  • Support customer demand manager to ensure vulnerabilities & opportunities to the demand plan are captured, articulated, quantified and included in the demand plan as appropriate.
  • Such items could include unusual seasonality factors, general or market-specific economic factors, planned price increases, or strategic company initiatives.
  • Prepare & submit regular demand reporting requirements.
  • Prepare required content for demand-specific IBP meetings, such as the regional DMRs.
  • Key Responsibilities - SLOB Management.
  • Root-cause analysis of reasons for SLOB inflow, and corrective actions. For example (1) understanding reasons for over-forecasting and taking corrective action, (2) understanding
    reason for MTO in-stock and working with customer service and sales to sell (3) identifying FG SKUs nearing shelf-life expiry and working with Quality to recertify & extend shelf-life
    (4) analysis of customer returns and corrective actions.
  • Support customer demand manager in coordinating the regional SLOB inventory process using the IHART SLOB tool, ensuring that solving actions are identified & implemented.
  • Coordinate with the sales team & supply chain on concession sale & reworking opportunities.
  • Prepare required SLOB activity reporting.
  • Abide by all relevant health, safety, and environmental rules, leading by example in their application.

Job Requirements

Years of experience: minimum 1 year
Education: Ideally degree-qualified in a supply chain or business-related subject
Previous experience in demand planning, S&OP / IBP, and customer services
Effective communication skills
A strong analytical and lateral thinker
Excellent written, presentation and verbal skills
Good problem-solving skills
Strong desire to progress in the organization
Pragmatic and be able to deliver in a pressured environment

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range for this role is: $85,000 to $95,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
