Job Description

Join our dynamic Team located in our Richmond office is looking to hire a Buyer & Parts Management Coordinator. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with various aspects of our business, focusing on fulfilling material and support needs for both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for procurement activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and managing the handling and movement of parts to serve company programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to projects and departments regarding their procurement requirements.
• Acquire materials and services, including sourcing bids, creating purchase orders, awarding contracts, expediting orders, and resolving related problems.
• Participate in developing and implementing procurement strategies to enhance supplier service levels and optimize costs.
• Select, measure, and manage vendor performance based on on-time delivery, quality, and service responsiveness.
• Negotiate with supply sources to initiate orders, resolve disputes, and determine freight terms.
• Enter orders using the Infor LN purchasing system, review and approve purchase documents, and expedite orders.
• Assist in the Procure-to-Payment cycle by ensuring receipt of Purchase Orders and working with Accounts Payable.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain Quality teams to document and maintain procurement procedures and work instructions.
• Assist in defining parts within the Product Lifecycle Management system and project consumption rates across inventory.
• Coordinate with the Configuration and Data Management team to transition parts definition information into the Infor LN Procurement system.
• Assist in confirming parts definition in the Procurement system matches the Product Lifecycle Management system.
• Track parts movement to ensure quantities recorded reflect actual counts.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of two years of supply chain management experience.
• Experience with Canadian government contracts, export regulations, and general freight terms.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• ERP experience, particularly with requisition-to-PO approval process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Experience with export compliance and freight terms for shipping.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, time management, and administrative skills.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with four days in the office and a flexible day on Friday. The position is based in Richmond and the company culture is supportive and collaborative, offering opportunities for growth and innovation in a rapidly evolving sector.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, BC.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.27/hr.
