Cooperative's goals are to provide premier agronomy services, build strong relationships and provide sound solutions to ag producers. Responsible for all aspects of agronomy division: purchasing, pricing, coordinating storage/distribution, profitability, and hiring and coaching agronomy sales staff, etc.
Requires 7 or more years of agricultural retail experience along with 2 or more years of supervisory experience. Must be skilled with budgeting, communication, decision making and sales.
Duties include:
Create culture of success and goal achievement
Develop sales strategies and marketing plans
Define and oversee sale staff compensation and incentive programs
Provide accurate sales forecasting and prepare sales budgets.
Manage key customer relationships.
Lead agronomy team by example to achieve objectives for revenue, profitability and operating efficiency
Provide business plans, operating budgets and financial projections
Establish and implement a program for agronomy operations to include housekeeping, safety and equipment maintenance
Coach and lead agronomy team
Provide patrons with prompt and effective service
Establish and implement short-term goals consistent with long range plans for growth in operations (Including facility, equipment, and personnel)
Establish products and service pricing consistent with competitive conditions, operating costs, profit and cash flow objectives
Utilize risk management strategies that limit risk
Oversee logistics management, inventory and supply chain.
Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of agriculture retail experience
Demonstrated success in agronomy sales
2+ years of supervisory experience
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
Must be competent with budgets, communication, decision making and leadership
Success in implementing a culture of teamwork.
