Position Summary:The Store Manager leads one of our 18 locations with full accountability for daily operations, sales performance, team development, and customer satisfaction. As the local face of our 100% employeeowned company, the Store Manager drives a strong selling culture, builds lasting relationships with contractors, designers, and homeowners, and ensures the store reflects Wallauer’s longstanding reputation for expertise and exceptional service. This role oversees staffing, merchandising, inventory accuracy, financial processes, and operational standards while fostering a positive, teamoriented environment where employees feel supported, engaged, and proud to be owners.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead all daily store operations with an ownership mindset
- Drive sales, gross profit, and overall store performance
- Promote upselling, crossselling, and new business development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment
- Resolve customer issues quickly and with care
- Partner with Marketing, HQ, and Retail Operations to uphold Wallauer brand standards
- Recruit, hire, train, and coach employees to reach their full potential
- Build a positive, teamoriented culture rooted in Wallauer values
- Manage inventory accuracy, stock levels, and shrink control
- Oversee store financial processes including banking, drawers, and cycle counts
- Review business reports to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Support Accounts Receivable with customer account issues when needed
- Prior management experience (retail, sales, or operations preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team
- Solid financial understanding and comfort with data/metrics
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to prioritize under pressure
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- 2 or 4year degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
