Vice President, Regional Operations Job Summary Responsible for leading the adaptation and execution of corporate strategy within an assigned region to drive business performance and growth. Oversees integration of all Walgreens business units operating within the region, including retail, pharmacy, clinics, specialty pharmacy, and other applicable offerings. Owns regional P&L performance, financial planning, and growth strategy. Partners cross-functionally to execute enterprise initiatives while fostering a cohesive, inclusive culture aligned with Walgreens' core values. Drives operational excellence, leadership development, and external partnerships to advance regional market position. Job Responsibilities Develops and executes regional growth strategies aligned with enterprise priorities and financial targets. Owns delivery of regional sales, gross profit, and income objectives across retail and pharmacy P&L. Allocates and manages regional budgets to achieve financial performance goals. Partners with support center and cross-functional teams to implement corporate initiatives and strategic programs. Builds and maintains relationships with health systems, health plans, government entities, employers, and community organizations to drive revenue growth. Collaborates with sales teams to align on contracting strategy and joint priorities. Conducts field visits to evaluate operational performance, customer experience, and team engagement. Ensures consistent operational excellence through performance metrics and accountability standards. Serves as key operational advisor on market expansion and real estate decisions. Develops and coaches direct reports and high-potential leaders to strengthen succession pipeline. Fosters an inclusive, high-performing culture across business units. Leads change initiatives to ensure adoption and sustained results. Maintains strong knowledge of retail and pharmacy industry trends to inform strategy. Supervisory Responsibilities Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, promotions, compensation decisions, and discipline of direct reports. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years of experience in retail operations OR High School/GED and at least 13 years of experience in retail operations At least 7 years of experience contributing to financial decision-making. At least 7 years of direct leadership and/or cross-functional leadership experience. Experience developing and executing strategic initiatives aligned to business goals and budgets. Experience identifying operational challenges and implementing effective solutions. Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment. Preferred Qualifications At least two years of support office experience. Experience managing multiple geographies. Travel Requirements Willing to travel up to 75% of the time for business purposes (in-state and out-of-state). We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
