An Assistant Buyer PART-TIME at Smith and Loveless is administrative in nature to assist the purchasing and production teams with data entry, follow-up, printing and copying.
Job duties
Assist with product selection and sourcing.
Help manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records of purchases.
Monitor inventory levels and provide recommendations for reordering products to prevent shortages.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any product discrepancies or issues.
Maintain and update product catalogs, pricing, and other related documentation.
Assist in the preparation of reports on purchasing activities, inventory, and sales trends.
Other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager.
QualificationsSkills/Requirements
Must be able to commit to work at least 20 hrs/wk from Lenexa, KS year-round.
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred.
Previous experience in a purchasing or office administrative position preferred, but not required.
Must possess strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Have well developed problem-solving skills, time-management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
