Assistant General Manager

Assists in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing tee sheet applications, acting as ranger, starter, guest relations, and some golf shop shifts.

• Associate's degree or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous golf and management experience required.
• Current PGA/LPGA Membership or Associate in good standing.
• Ability to read and speak English is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.

• Assist in administering all point of sale application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and passholder/guest billing; coordinate with accounting departments on all policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementations.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, and receive payments from passholders and guests; resolve discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment; track all force posts and no show charges as applicable.
• Promote all golf course activities, events, and tournaments.
• Assist in the creation of lesson plans and provide both individual and group instruction.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop; assist the retail buyer with procurement of merchandise and shop assistants with merchandising and sales.
• Prepare for all golf outings including coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments.
• Monitor all passholder scores, report handicapping to USGA and complete billing.
• Follow established opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with associate training.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
