Position Overview

The Service Operations Assistant supports front-end operations by helping lead customer service efforts, ensuring efficient checkout performance, and maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment. This role partners with the Service Operations Manager to drive service standards, support team development, and ensure smooth daily execution.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Experience

  • Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service at all times
  • Assist customers with inquiries, issues, and service recovery
  • Promote a positive checkout experience and resolve concerns professionally
  • Support initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and loyalty

Front-End Operations

  • Assist in overseeing checkstands, self-checkout, and service desk activity
  • Help manage customer flow and ensure proper staffing during peak times
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling, register accuracy, and POS procedures
  • Monitor front-end conditions to keep operations running efficiently

Team Leadership & Support

  • Provide direction, coaching, and daily support to front-end employees
  • Assist with training new hires and reinforcing service standards
  • Monitor productivity and help maintain accountability across the team
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment

Merchandising & Store Standards

  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked front-end and service areas
  • Support execution of impulse displays and promotional setups
  • Ensure signage and pricing are accurate and up to date
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards at all times

Administrative & Compliance

  • Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and labor support
  • Support cash office functions such as pickups, loans, and audits as needed
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards
Qualifications
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and cash handling knowledge
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
