VICE PRESIDENT OF DESIGN - Missy Contemporary Sportswear (Hybrid)

Location-New York, New York- Hybrid Schedule Salary $180k plus Description Our client is looking for a Vice President of Designer and Merchandising to lead the team for Missy Contemporary, and Young Contemporary located in NYC. Knowledge of all fabric categories including, knits, wovens, sweaters and denim is a plus. Must have strong management skills directing the team with the newest trends. Responsibilities include: Identify trend development and design direction for contemporary/updated missy knits. Collaborate with the sales and design team developing the overall concept and product strategy for each season Identify fashion trends for each account Strong fabric, and Trim knowledge for new development, ensuring costing requirements for each customer Manage time and action calendar to meet deadlines Shop the marketplace and overseas for new development and fashion inspiration Travel to Europe Skills Bachelor's degree in fashion Minimum of 10 years designing and merchandising Proficient in Mac
