Senior Buyer Location: Plainview, NY Company/Industry: Well-established A/V integration company Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Salary: $80,000 - 100,000/yr, depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate Type: Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire Key Responsibilities Manage the full purchasing lifecycle for equipment, materials, and services Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery Review purchase requisitions, verify specifications, and issue purchase orders Track open orders, monitor lead times, and expedite shipments as needed Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with warehouse and project teams Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support long?term supply chain stability Resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and product returns Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and operations to forecast material needs Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports for management Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and cost?control initiatives Qualifications 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience (Senior Buyer or similar role) Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost?analysis skills Experience with purchase orders, inventory systems, and ERP software Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline?driven environment Excellent communication, organization, and follow?through A/V, electronics, construction, or technical industry experience is a plus not required Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
