Location: Norwalk, IA
Due to growth, we are looking for a Buyer to join the Produce Innovations/Loffredo Fresh Foods team based out of our Norwalk food processing plant. Produce Innovations is a leader in fresh-cut produce processing, specializing in the preparation and packaging of fresh-cut, all-natural snacks. The Buyer supports our purchasing operations at our fresh-cut produce facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring we have the right raw materials, packaging, and supplies on hand to meet production demands while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and vendor relationships. The Buyer will work closely with operations, production planning, and suppliers to help keep our fast-paced food manufacturing environment running smoothly.
Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 annually

What we look for:
Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
2 - 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience (food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
Experience generating reports and maintaining data accuracy
Support business growth initiatives while optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support scalable expansion
Effective verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented and customer-focused
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and levels of the organization
Resolve purchase order non-conformities and quality claims by investigating root causes, documenting corrective actions, and ensuring timely resolution to maintain customer satisfaction and compliance.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
What you ll do:
Assist in purchasing raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies
Monitor inventory levels to help prevent shortages or overstock
Create, track, and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor deliveries
Collaborate with internal teams including operations and production to forecast needs
Support analysis of market pricing and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities
Create and maintain vendor and SKU master data
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
