Internship Summary

T he American First Credit Union marketing intern will work closely with the marketing team to explore the world of marketing supporting campaigns, projects, and events . This is an opportunity to work in a true business environment with the opportunity to provide creative insights, develop marketing content, assist with social media communications and generate analytical reports for both digital and traditional marketing channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with production schedules, editing articles, proofreading content, campaign ideation, event theming, lead reporting and collaboration with internal groups and external vendors.

Pay Range: $18.00 an hour

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor s or Master s degree program with declared degree in marketing/advertising, communications, journalism, or related field with minimum of two years of coursework completed.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PPT, Publisher); preferred knowledge of design software (InDesign, Illustrator Photoshop)

Basic understanding of HTML, coding or experience in website content management systems.

Personal experience with Social Media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.)

Ability to follow written and oral instructions; communicate and interact professionally with team members.

Ability to make suggestions and solve problems as they occur.

Flexible availability to support marketing/business development events.

Duties

Create a reporting dashboard and analysis of campaign efforts across multiple marketing channels and media. Track engagement on social media.

Learn about end-to-end campaign development across web, email, direct mail, paid advertising and social media

Assist with writing content for social media, newsletters and other communication channels

Provide ideas and insight to reach a college-aged demographic group

Collaborate with the marketing team on traditional and digital marketing campaign elements

Design marketing fliers, signs, and campaign elements. Review existing marketing material and digital content.

Learn to prepare and generate reports on campaigns, consumers, competitors, and market conditions

Coordinate and plan events including contacting vendors, registration, and logistics of scheduled events

Assist in Business Development activities such as event planning and preparation, campaigns, sales reporting and database maintenance

Work on other projects and internal training assigned to learn and explore various aspects of financial services, marketing and customer journey mapping

Schedule

Mon-Fri up to 29 hours a week.
