Vice President, Commodities - Physical Dairy Trading Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President, Commodities - Physical Dairy Trading to lead the build-out, growth, and ongoing management of Wells Fargo's physical dairy trading platform. This is a revenue-generating role with end-to-end responsibility for strategy, market presence, risk management, and profitability across physical dairy products including milk, cream, butter/AMF, cheese, and powders. The position will play a critical role in expanding Wells Fargo's physical commodities franchise, integrating physical trading with existing financial capabilities, and representing the firm to key market participants. In this role, you will: Lead the development and expansion of physical dairy trading capabilities, including onboarding and managing warehouses, storage, and logistics providers Establish Wells Fargo as a credible, long-term participant in U.S. physical dairy markets Originate, structure, and execute physical dairy transactions across milk, cream, butter/AMF, cheese, and powders Negotiate and manage medium- and long-term supply and off-take agreements Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with producers, processors, distributors, merchants, and warehouses Own financial performance and risk management of the physical dairy book, including inventory, basis, spread, and outright price risk Partner closely with centralized risk and control functions to ensure disciplined governance Oversee logistics, scheduling, warehousing, warrants, inventory financing, and settlement processes in coordination with operations and middle office teams Structure transactions efficiently from a balance sheet, working capital, and liquidity perspective Partner closely with financial sales teams to deliver integrated physical and financial solutions, enhancing client coverage, deepening relationships, and unlocking cross-product synergies across Wells Fargo's Markets platform Work with legal, compliance, credit, and operations to support transactions from origination through lifecycle management Act as a senior representative of the dairy platform internally and externally Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Proven track record of building and managing physical trading books with P&L accountability. Deep knowledge of dairy products (milk, cream, butter/AMF, cheese, powders, whey), including quality specifications, seasonality, logistics, and storage dynamics. Strong understanding of market structure, basis, spreads, inventory economics, and physical execution. Experience structuring working-capital and inventory-financing solutions linked to physical assets. Established senior relationships across U.S. producers, processors, distributors, merchants, and warehouses. Demonstrated leadership, commercial judgment, and decision-making in a fast-paced trading environment. Ability to operate effectively within a regulated financial institution.
