Position Summary: As a Food & Beverage Cashier at Eldora Mountain Resort you will provide friendly and efficient service to guests by processing food and beverage transactions accurately and quickly. Youll play a key role in creating a positive dining experience by maintaining cleanliness, restocking items, and assisting with basic food service tasks as needed. This position is fast-paced, guest-focused, and ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic mountain environment.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.

  • Accurately process sales transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, including handling cash, credit cards, and resort vouchers.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station, dining area, and condiment stations.

  • Answer guest questions about menu items, pricing, and resort dining options.

  • Assist with stocking, and restocking of supplies as needed.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cash handling procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

  • Adapt to changing guest volume and contribute to team support during busy periods.

  • Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.

  • All employees are expected to support Eldoras corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

Specific Job Skills:

Physical Demands:

  • Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling& prolonged standing

  • Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment

  • Concentrated reading and writing

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

  • Variation in temperature from hot to cold

Schedule:

  • Non-Peak Days (M-F): 7:30am-4:30pm or 9:30am-5:30pm

  • Peak Days (Sa/Sun/Holidays): 6:30am-2:30pm or 9:30am-5:30pm

  • This schedule represents an average work week and is subject to change based on guest volume, operational needs, and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $19 + tips., actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and certification level.

  • Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Additionally, this position accumulates sick time.
