About the Role:
bp Energy Retail Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager Retail Supply to lead the execution and optimization of renewable energy programs and services for large commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in deregulated U.S. markets. You will be responsible for managing renewable PPAs, supporting Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) book management, and driving new product development in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Renewable PPA Management :
Oversee management a portfolio of renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) across various ISOs. Lead deal structuring, contract execution, and lifecycle compliance. - RPS Book Management:
Support RPS book management across all deregulated U.S. markets. Coordinate with internal teams to forecast, track, and reconcile obligations. Assist with REC procurement, retirement, and regulatory reporting. - Process Optimization :
Identify and implement improvements in Renewable PPA and RPS management operations, deal workflow, and internal controls. Use data analysis and stakeholder feedback to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. - New Product Development :
Work closely with sales, legal, trading, and operations teams to evaluate and deliver new retail products. Present strategies to senior leadership and ensure organizational alignment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (Math, Business, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or similar)
- 68 years of experience in a commercial or analytical retail energy role
- Proven experience in retail energy supply, including ISO market knowledge (ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, ISONE)
- Strong understanding of RPS regulations and REC management practices
- Advanced skills in Excel VBA and SQL; Python preferred
- Experience with ETRM systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex data and present to senior stakeholders
- Experience mentoring or leading junior team members
