Job Summary
The Concessions Cashier is responsible for being able to accurately ring up and sell product in an efficient manner. The Cashier should be comfortable approaching guests to offer services and sell products. In addition, the Cashier must be willing to help fellow co-workers complete tasks.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Sells concessions, including soft drinks and various food items, to customers at events.
+ Understands and can describe menu offerings, packaging/presentation and pricing.
+ Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner following outlined steps of service.
+ Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Relays relevant information to supervisor.
+ Responds to guests needs and requests, effectively using suggestive and upselling techniques, and maintains service areas.
+ Performs sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion. Enters sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
+ Handles credit card transactions using the Point of Sales system. Follows cash handling and tip reporting guidelines.
+ Ensures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
+ Responsible for maintaining the stand sheet with inventory responsibilities.
+ Adheres to Levy Company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook.
+ Thoroughly completes all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities.
+ Communicates guest issues to management.
+ Performs other duties such as replenishing condiments and general supplies and maintaining cleanliness concession area.
+ Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
+ Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
+ Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
+ Must be able to reach with hands and arms for one-third to two-thirds or more of the designated shift.
+ Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
+ React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
+ Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
+ Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
+ Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a desire to gain experience and work in the foodservice or hospitality industry. Previous cash handling experience is preferred. An outgoing personality is preferred. The candidate should have the ability to interact with high profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing exceptional experience. The ability to communicate effectively by speaking and comprehending English, with the ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.
