Job Details As the Regional Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our field sales strategy to maximize the company's gross margin and contributions. Responsibilities: This role supports MWI Animal Health, a part of the Cencora family of companies. Develop and lead regional field sales force. Set goals and objectives for regional support roles. Work with Territory Managers (TM's) to identify sales needs (e.g., tools, marketing programs, information needs, etc.) and to maintain current perspective on the market environment and competitive activity. Work with key customers and/or buying groups to ensure customer satisfaction and to identify future opportunities. Establish and implement systematic process for gathering, tracking and disseminating competitive activity from the field. Handle day-to-day customer complaints, customer service issues, etc. Develop yearly and monthly sales budgets, monitor performance of field sales team, and react to all risks and opportunities. Measure and monitor results against assigned key vendor budgets to ensure move-out objectives are fulfilled. Work closely with other Leaders to create a team environment and to establish/implement overall sales and marketing programs and priorities. Identify field sales training needs and work with Learning and Development team to coordinate training efforts. Work with Territory Managers on presenting strategic solutions, promoting house brands and executing on category management/vendor consolidation strategy. Education: A Bachelor's degree is desirable. Excellent presentation skills and a proven ability to sell are necessary. A valid driver license and good driving record are mandatory. Work Experience: Typically 5 or more years in a sales position is required. Sales management and animal health industry experience preferred. Build a Sales System: Views selling systematically, including problem solving, cross-selling, targeting accounts and seeking out prospects; understands the business matrix of products and services; promotes a sales force who aggressively work to leverage the breadth and depth of customer relationships. Speak Effectively: Speaks effectively in individual or group situations (i.e., meetings, presentations, interviews); able to organize and present information to others; delivers positive high impact presentations. Build Effective Teams: Develops an understanding of and assesses group dynamics; takes action to enhance the productivity and collaboration among subordinates and peers; creates an environment that encourages and reinforces teamwork.
