POSITION OVERVIEW

The Raw Materials Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in supporting the efficient and accurate handling of raw materials within WAI South Carolina's warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory to ensure uninterrupted production and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, an understanding of warehouse processes, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. This role requires a balance of physical labor, technical skills, and adherence to safety standards, making it essential to the smooth and timely flow of materials through the supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receiving and Processing: Unload, inspect, and process incoming shipments. Verify the accuracy of orders and ensure proper documentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records. Perform regular stock checks and update inventory systems.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment. Ensure orders are accurate and meet quality standards.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse. Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS): Utilize WMS tools for inventory tracking and warehouse operations. Support the upcoming rollout of a new WMS and assist in ensuring cycle counting accuracy and effective slotting strategies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse experience required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required: Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including inventory slotting and cycle counting accuracy. Familiarity with WMS implementation is a plus.
