Job Description

We are currently seeking a full time Sales Specialist to join our Sales Team at our Bay Area Show Rooms.

Here at McRoskey Mattress Company we are the purveyors of life changing sleep with generations of craftsmen making mattresses and box springs locally since 1899.  We believe in building a premium product and providing a customer experience second to none.  We all work together constantly to strive for excellence in keeping our company culture creative.

What’s in it for you?

Base hourly wage of $15-$17 to start with a guaranteed commission for the 1st 90 days during training.

Commissions payable bi-weekly at 3% of all invoiced sales  (Up to $35 per hour with commissions included)

Essential Functions:

  • Create a premium customer experience at all times
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Projects a positive, professional and energetic demeanor
  • Engaging communication style with our premium designers and customers
  • Promotes team work and good working relationships with co-workers in all locations
  • Consistently uses the McRoskey sales process and talking points to establish rapport, determine customer needs, overcome objections and close the sale or gain customer commitment
  • Accurately educates customers about products features, benefits and terms of sale in accordance with company standards
  • Consistently builds customer relationships and maintains sales pipeline

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.

Minimum of 5 years of face-to-face consumer selling experience, preferably with experience selling high-quality, premium consumer products.

Language Ability: Ability to accurately fill out customer orders both in written and computer entry formats once trained. Ability to speak effectively before individuals or small groups of customers

Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions,  percentages,

Computer Skills: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Order entry systems.

Our retail showrooms are open 7 days per week and sometimes require overtime and work on Company recognized Holidays

This position may alternate its assignment location to either of our two (2) retail showrooms
