Position summary:  The Spring Communications Operations Manager is required to diligently execute all duties described below.  The position emphasizes management skills in the areas of general inventory management, loss prevention and financial modeling. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for ordering all equipment, managing all accessory and phone returns, as well as facilitate inventory transfers among the Colorado Regions retail locations. This position will also manage the Colorado Region office and ensure all Company policies are enforced. The position is a critical role in the Company and requires an aggressive, well-rounded and dependable individual that will manage and assist with the operational growth of our Company.Core objective:  To support the Vice President of Operations in the goal of maximizing retail sales opportunities by developing an effective inventory process that will supply Company retail stores with sufficient products, managing vendor returns to ensure that the Company achieves maximum financial return on defective goods, while simultaneously utilizing a point of sale software system that can mitigate inventory and sales related risks to the Company. Position responsibilities:Inventory Supply and Control:Responsible for the fulfillment of any necessary inventory transfers to and from any of the regions retail locations. Responsible to create and place all phone purchase orders for the region. Responsible for ensuring all phones ordered for the region are received and entered into pos in a timely fashion. Responsible for adjusting inventory classifications for the Colorado Region as needed. Responsible for processing returns from our retail locations. This will include filing RMA requests and any needed follow-up with the vendors. Responsible for processing returns to our vendors in a time frame that guarantees the collection of all money due to Spring. Responsible for performing an inventory count and store audit at select locations that will ensure the accuracy of the inventory information submitted. Responsible for the delivery and relocation of phones between locations when needed to maintain adequate phone supplies. Responsible for monitoring and resolving all open transfers among all retail locations.  Any other function needed to support the Director of Operations in maximizing retail sales opportunities and developing an effective inventory process that will supply Company retail stores with sufficient product.Point of Sale Software:Responsible for developing a complete understanding of the Company’s financial model in relation to point of sale transaction. Responsible for the establishment, maintenance and auditing of all commissionable service plans from our carrier partners. Responsible for maintaining the phone service plan/price list as well as keeping the region informed of all pricing changes and promotions.       Reconciliation and Reporting:Weekly creation of the Operations Report, distributing copies to the Senior Management Team and any needed follow-up. Responsible for maintaining an accurate equipment purchase log. Responsible for filing a weekly report detailing the results of the week’s inventory audits, distributing copies to the Senior Management Team and any needed follow-up. Responsible for reconciling weekly inventory counts, researching and identifying all serialized discrepancies, formulating the Inventory Results Report and distributing it to all managers and any needed follow-up.Monthly Reconciliation and Reporting:Month End Inventory Reconciliation, including accounting costs associated with current, shorted, and overage inventory as well as manager’s bonus results. By the 10th day following the end of each calendar month, a month end performance report will be drafted and will include all reconciliations, graphs, problems/solutions, plans, and other pertinent operational information regarding the inventory, point of sale, or general operation of these areas filed with the Vice President of Operations.      Essential skills and experience:Organizational skills in managing multiple projects, coordinating efforts of vendors and employees while performing daily duties Strong internal customer service orientation Excellent interpersonal and communications skills·         Knowledge of cellular markets, products and industry trends·         Strong leadership and team development skillsProficiency in all Microsoft applications, knowledge of Point of Sale systems and capabilitiesValued but not required skills and experience:·         BS, BA in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or any quantitative equivalentMBA Preferred
