Job Title: PRINCIPAL PROJECT MGR (BANK)--C1USA Company: Capital One Location: McLean, VA Description: The Principal Project Manager, role is part of the Segment Services & Special Projects team within the Consumer Segment. The horizontal team supports the three Consumer vertical lines of business: Deposits, Lending and Customer Management as well as the Customer Experience & Channel Strategy team. The team has oversight of all projects and prioritization within the segment.Responsibilities: 1.Ensure success of Bank Diversity Council Agenda Coordinate with each of the 4 council work streams to understand the goals & objectives of both the Council & the Workstreams Define detailed project plans to address key milestones for the major initiatives Partner with council members and other key stakeholders in the bank to drive those major initiatives forward Report out on project status & successes to the council and larger organization 2.Own other horizontal projects for the Consumer Segment Support Consumer team goals on increasing teamwork and team effectiveness Help to define the “Be a Great Partner” initiative for the Segment. Sharing best practices that across segment verticals Onboarding of new associates to the teamBasic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree 3 years experience in Project Management 1 year experience working with project management tool(s) (i.e. MS Project) Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in retail banking preferred Experience and confidence in directing written and oral communication to Senior Management Detail oriented and organized Results focused –able to autonomously drive big projects Relationship oriented approach; collaborative Capital One will not file non-immigrant visa petitions for alien workers.
