Description:
The Project Manager, Retail coordinates non-hosted (Content Reserve) and hosted retail (MIDAS) bookstore projects. This person drives the development of the customer’s retail book platform from inception through launch, and provides ongoing support and project management to such customers. This person is responsible for merchandising content at MIDAS sites on an ongoing basis. Additionally, incumbent engages with credit card vendors (to assess new services or upgrade existing services) and works to generally advance the MIDAS and Content Reserve retail platforms by competitive analysis and documentation of customer feedback and requests. Responsibilities:-Coordinate between customers and internal design and development teams. -Perform general administration for MIDAS customers (merchandising, responding to content inquiries, handling escalated customer support tickets, etc). -Undertake research and testing relevant to the MIDAS and Content Reserve retail platforms. -Create and maintain documentation pertaining to MIDAS and Content Reserve retail platforms (product description and feature-set, future development goals, Best Practices, etc.). -Communicating customer status and issues (if any) to others in the organization; identifying and prioritizing tasks for self and others to ensure project deadlines are met when projects have concurrent or conflicting timescales. Preferred Experience:- 2+ years of applicable experience (eCommerce, project management, customer service, etc.). -Bachelor’s Degree.· -Experience with eCommerce, credit card / real-time order processing (PayPal, Google Checkout, etc.) a plus. -Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills. The ability to work cooperatively with internal and external customers.· -Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously with acute attention to detail. -Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).· Working knowledge of bookselling and publishing industry a plus. Skills:- Personable and persistent, yet friendly and patient. Ability to work with a wide variety of people and skill levels.- Self-sufficient, adaptable within a rapidly evolving technical environment.- Team player.- Requires self-direction, forward thinking, tact, and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the clients/partners.- Organized, able to track and manage multiple projects working with a variety of individuals (multi-tasking and prioritizing skills). Flexibility and the ability to respond quickly to changes in project scope or timelines is essential.
