They form the foundation of our SUPERVALU Advantage - the key to our continuing success.   Title: PURPOSE   This position will work closely with the Marketing Operations Business Lead in building the marketing technology portfolio strategy and in aligning marketing business processes and systems with enterprise Retail Operations solutions. This Manager will be able to articulate the enterprise marketing vision and its translation into marketing and retail operations solutions.   The Retail Operations/Marketing Portfolio Project Manager is responsible for the effective engagement of marketing business leaders in the Retail Operations IT projects and processes – in particular Common POS.  The Manager will understand the interdependencies and gaps between marketing and retail operations solutions and ensure that the appropriate work is executed on a timely manner to align marketing and merchandising solutions. This Manager will build strong partnerships with relevant teams across marketing, retail operations and  IT and will work collaboratively to achieve agreed project objectives, milestones and deliverables   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES   ·         Represents Marketing in critical Retail Operations and Front End Applications forums ·         Builds strong relationships with Marketing, Process Excellence, Store Operations and Front End Applications teams ·         Develops a process to monitor and assure the accountability of Marketing Operations projects ·         Defines of project deliverables for Marketing Business Owners, monitors progress and reviews project deliverables ·         Facilitates the engagement of Marketing Business Owners in Retail Operations projects ·         Facilitates the navigation of the cadence process and project governance for Marketing Business Owners ·         Manages the Request for Information and Request for Proposal projects for marketing solutions ·         Ensures the necessary business and change management processes are developed in support of IT projects ·         Ensures the Marketing Operations Business Lead  and the Marketing Business Owners have real-time awareness of the status of technology projects and the business process impacts through direct communication when necessary and regularly scheduled updates ·         Builds process for and facilitates the development and oversight of the marketing technology budgets ·         Builds processes and tools for regular reporting of progress, funding, risks and issues for senior management ·         Effectively applies project methodology and enforces project standards ·         Manages, resolves, and escalates – as appropriate – issues to ensure high quality deliverables   JOB REQUIREMENTS   Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   ·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or Computer Science preferred ·         Internal candidate with Marketing, IT, or Operations Experience preferred ·         5-8 years relevant work experience preferred ·         Must process oriented and have excellent project management skills ·         Experience with portfolio and program management of projects ·         Ability to handle large multiple projects or programs concurrently ·         Ability to follow a project methodology ·         Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams and to lead through influence ·         Ability to manage competing priorities The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
