PROJECT MANAGER - MERCHANDISE SYSTEMS Provides consulting services to all TJX operating divisions. Reviews and defines requirements for interim and long-term business process solutions. Analyzes alternatives applying broad-based knowledge of retail systems and TJX business requirements.Guides the user community in the most effective and efficient system's approach to meet business objectives.Acts as an advocate for the extended user community in all systems related activities in partnership with Application Development to support the Merchandising Division.Responsible for the outcome of assigned projects and coordinates key aspects of the project life cycle, beginning with the initial analysis through post implementation support adhering to all Sarbanes Oxley requirements.Supervises, develops and evaluates the performance of a team of Business Analysts.Monitors, tracks and reports project status to ensure that projects are completed on time and within approved budget.Analyzes business and or/system processes to identify problems, opportunities and needs.Plays a major role in the selection of new software packages, ensuring satisfactory communication among technical staff, vendors and users. Involved in the selection process from RFP stage through implementation.Keeps abreast of latest developments in business systems methods and tools by regularly attending appropriate meetings, demonstrations, seminars and workshops.Work on other projects as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.6 + years of prior project management experience and business analysis experience. Proven ability to manage and develop team. Retail experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to adapt to changing business needs. Strong follow up skills and problem solving ability a must.Must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional leadership skills and presentation skills required.Excellent negotiation skills and proven ability to build partnerships with internal and external partners.
