The role of the Senior Quality Analyst is to implement best practice testing techniques and perform testing as part of the software development life cycle. The Senior Quality Analyst should have strong knowledge of generally accepted testing practices and development processes. Responsibilities:Writing master test plans, developing and maintaining test specifications, test scripts test data and cases, troubleshooting test issues, and recording test results. Working with offshore team to ensure quality releases are attained. Participation in review of release definitions and design specifications. Participating in working design sessions, walkthroughs, and ongoing decision-making. Make recommendations regarding defect prioritization. Perform all test assignments to ensure the products and enhancements meet business requirements and client expectations. The Senior Quality Analyst ensures accuracy and precision of the product from the business point of view. Test result metrics and reporting as required. The QA Lead for Merchandising Systems will lead the quality assurance efforts for many of The Home Depot's Merchandising Applications. The QA Lead for Merchandising will drive various project phases including requirements gathering, planning test cycles, and manage the execution of system and end-to-end test cycles. Thorough planning, execution, and completion of test cycles will have a direct impact on the quality of systems delivered. The candidate must ensure application solutions delivered to production meet business requirements. The QA Lead must define test environments for a total test solution of major applications. Must ensure proper tools, techniques, and methodologies are applied throughout the entire test cycle. The QA Lead will focus on the business requirements and ensure that the implemented code meets the expectations of our stakeholders, and will work closely with the application teams as programs are developed. Expert ability to define test scenarios and scripting methodologies for complete system integration tests. This includes defining tests of multiple applications residing across multiple computing platforms and systems. Assess test designs and adequate data test beds. Interface with business subject matter experts to understand the business process, metrics and language. The QA Lead guides and directs the activities of all quality analysts within their area of control. Mentors and teaches testing methodology.
