Responsibility of functions including visual merchandising, general sales and accountability to basic business acumen. This position will also be the communication coordinator for all visual merchandising directives from corporate as well as coordinate all sales/PR events scheduled for the store(s).Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Works with the Store Manager and store team to guide and execute all merchandise presentation decisions, including new store flows and in-season management, in collaboration with the Store Manager and Marketing directives.Partners with the Store Manager to make product placement adjustments based on selling, inventory ownership and merchandising reports.Create a compelling store experience and exciting visual presentation for our customers.Works with the Store Manager to adapt in-store visual and window display presentations based on store needs while maintaining the integrity of the brand.Ensures the store is up to date on all current display strategies which relate to the brand.Ensures the current marketing image and signage direction are implemented correctly.Ensures proper organization and maintenance of visual storage area.Works with Store Manager to ensure the store meets all visual presentation standards.Ensures deep cleaning of store and fixtures are conducted as needed.Works with Freight and Floor Supervisors to ensure all product is processed and meets floor-ready standards.Track productivity and ensures that team is meeting all merchandise handling and visual standards.Trains, coaches and directs associates on merchandise handling, merchandise presentation and visual techniques as needed; communicates development feedback of others to the Store Manager.Secondary Functions:Maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff and other team members in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the store.Perform other duties as assigned.Specific Job Skills:Possess creative ability and knowledge of visual presentation. Must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills. Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks and responsibilities as well as receive feedback and take action when appropriate.Physical requirements include the ability to perform repetitive movements of the arms and shoulders, stand for extended periods of time, move freely around store, bend, twist, reach, squat, climb a ladder occasionally and regularly lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or GED preferred. Retail visual display experience and visual merchandising experience at a specialty or department store for minimum of 1-2 years. Job Conditions:Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings and closings to meet the needs of the business. Job Title: merchandising representative Company: Location: Medford, OR Description: Part-time merchandising representative needed to set advertising in Grants Pass area grocery and drug stores. Looking for an individual who can work 30 hours 1 week out of the month and then 5-15 hours a week in the remaining 3 weeks of the month. Reliable transportation and high speed internet required. Must be over 18 years old.
