DESCRIPTION: Looking for an energetic, people-person who loves to interact with others to service existing accounts and open new accounts. Will join a team of 10 other sales merchandising representatives. HOURS: Full time, 8:00 a.m. ? 4:30 p.m. (Monday ? Job Title: Visual Merchandiser - Company: Location: Aiea, HI Description: The Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for creating the best possible visual presentation of designs and products for each store or area on a continual basis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -Design (create), implement, and install window displays as scheduled. -Schedule and prioritize projects. -Create graphic displays and signage untilizing Photoshop Illustrator and Power Mac G4. -Select display merchandise with Area Merchandiser - utilizing reports. -Instruct store personnel in proper merchandising technique. -Create plans to maximize underutilized selling space in each store. -Monitor and review store merchandising moves. -Make on-site merchandising decisions in response to image/business direction. -Review and analyze sales reports. -Install and replace fixtures, props, and other items as scheduled. -Other duties as assigned. Qualifications -Minimum of three years of merchandising experience for a specialty retailer. -Prior window display experience to include: dressing forms, construction, installation, lighting,... -Computer skills: Photoshop Illustrator and Power Mac G4. -Written ability to communicate ideas with two-dimensional drawings to develop three-dimensional objects. -Ability to meet deadlines, timelines, and maintain an on-going weekly schedule. -Strong teaching skills and the ability to work with various departments to accomplish tasks and a common goal. Physical and Environmental Job Requirements -Ability to lift 50lbs. -Ability to utulize floor plans, plan-o-grams, and sales reports to communicate and plan. -Ability to operate basic power tools for the construction and installation of displays and props. -Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract. -Ability to travel and work a varied schedule including days, night, and weekends.
