Job Title: Merchandise Analyst Company: Michaels Store, Inc. Location: Irving, TX Description: Basic Function:Supports merchandising team by managing inventory to drive sales objectives and ensure inventory levels are sufficient to support financial objectives. Maximize assigned merchandise category profitability by optimizing inventory supply to meet customer demand, and minimizing opportunity cost of basic product out of stocks. Provide detailed reports and analysis to guide proper business decisions in support of achievement of sales and inventory goals of basic and trend programs.Primary Job Responsibilities: oInventory Management ? Work with Category Director/Managers and Inventory Management drive sales and profit by maintaining store in stocks of 96% or better and increasing inventory turn to match company plan. Prepares and presents detailed and accurate analysis on recommendations for timely flow and proper levels of merchandise for all basic and trend programs. Work closely with vendor community to improve performance on KPIs using vendor scorecard. oCategory team integration ? Actively works with all buying team members to create a positive and pro-active working environment. oTraining and direction ? Provide technical support, training and assistance to other team members. oAnalysis ? Working closely with category management team to analyze existing / proposed feature sets to: evaluate sales/space productivity, and inventory/space productivity. This will include working with merchandising to define projects and provide any ad hoc reports to present for approval. o Communication - Act as a positive, proactive communication resource link to merchandising, logistics, store operations, the vendor community and all other cross functional teams as needed for each project with regards to analysis, presentation, and store documents.

Job Title: Merchandise Planner Company: Academy Sports & Outdoors Location: Houston, TX Description: Works with buyers to prepare seasonal financial plans.Adjusts and maintains financial plans.Assists Buyers with planning and OTB.Analyzes and forecasts sales performance at store level as needed.Provides input and feedback for related OTB and Planning tools.Prepares analysis as needed.Coordinates training on merchandise planning and assortment planning tools.Monitors inventory status of assigned categories.Involvement in related projects as deemed necessary.Attends planning conferences and vendor meetings as requested.Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
