Stanley Associates, Inc. is searching for a Cashier Supervisor for the Atlanta Passport Agency.Under the direction of the Stanley Management Team, the Cashier Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the daily activities of the Cashier Office in the Passport Agency. The Cashier Supervisor is responsible for verification and management of money receipts from the public counter and lockbox, responsible for setting work priorities and facilitating a smooth transition of work between various departments. As a manager, the Cashier Supervisor is responsible for supervising and training employees in all phases of cashier functions, monitoring the productivity and quality of cashiers, and providing reports, as requested, to the Processing Section Manager regarding all data recorded. The Cashier Supervisor may also provide support when needed to other processing areas.Essential Functions: Verify that the fee collected matches the type of application submitted, note any discrepancy, and record the amount and type (i.e., check, change, or cash) of fee collected. Verify any discrepancies in the Lockbox vendor receipts and applications and take appropriate action to correct. Verify that the fee matches the type of application submitted, and deposit the moneys into a bank designated by the Department of State. Review and batch counter, direct mail applications and any applications that are not received from Lockbox vendor. Verify checks and cash monies that are attached to applications. Verify that the fee matches the type of application. Verify collected monies with Cash Register reports. Verify that all cashiered applications are also cashiered in TDIS systems. Review re-entry batches from communications for cashier completeness and review Expedite Fee (EF) batches from the mailroom. Prepare daily deposit for armored car pick-up and confirm. Confirm armored vehicle pick-up of the deposits and prepare a monthly report of these activities, including the deposit slips with the report. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly report of cashier activities. Report bad/returned checks and send collection form letters to applicants and after 90 days and notify Passport Headquarters, Washington DC. Hire, conduct performance reviews, document performance issues and coordinate with Processing Supervisor and HR to provide documentation in addressing employee performance issues or terminations. Responsible for training cashiers in all phases of cashier functions. Monitor the productivity and quality of cashiers. Monitor for fraud. Provide input to Processing Section Manager regarding all data recorded. Responsible for proper record retention. On occasion, perform Processing Supervisor responsibilities to include the planning, direction, and coordination of all processing functions as required and at the direction of government management.
