Job Title: Men's Apparel Buyer Company: Sundance Catalog Location: Salt Lake City, UT Description: Men’s Apparel Buyer, Sundance Catalog Company  Sundance is a rapidly growing consumer mail order company with an entrepreneurial spirit seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our team.We are seeking a Men’s Apparel Buyer to Participate from concept to final product on all men’s business. Meet with agents /vendors seasonally to ensure product understanding and sample timeliness  Select & present all men’s product answering to the Assortment plan.  Strict adherences to T& A calendar to ensure Photo dates are met.  Manage communication between Sundance and vendors including the collection of PI Sheets and Map turnover to merchandising.  Work closely with VP Product & Merchandise Manager in building the Men’s Catalog & On-Line Business. Attend all trade shows pertinent to growing the men’s/women’s business as agreed with VP Design/PD. Meet with merchandising team on a regular basis to review current and post mortem sales information and leverage this information to improve catalog performance. Report on weekly best sellers and why. Manage business to achieve company margin goals and profitability. Must understand the Sundance technical data systems and reports.  Review all sample invoices for correctness.Develop any subordinated to their maximum potential. Work in collaboration with the VP Design/Product Development and Merchant team in assortment build process.  Develop and manage relationships with all vendors ensuring consistent information flow and timely deliveries.  The position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah An excellent candidate should have Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or two to four years related experience and/or on the job training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  A self-starter and team player with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals. Ability to write professional reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Knowledge of retail sales and general math skills.
